It is simply amazing how quickly things have turned around in relation to where the power lies between employer and employee.
Less than a year ago, you might have been searching a site like this because you felt you could get a better car elsewhere or you were not happy with your commission structure or you wanted to get what your colleagues were getting or even because the boss never smiled at you.
Fast forward to the present day and it is all about survival now.
This series of tips is all about not being the one to get the pink slip when your company starts letting go of people in the sales team.
Tip # 1. Be a producer. Because the numbers never lie, those with the best results will always feel more secure than those that are middle of the road or bottom tier. I am sure that this sounds like the most obvious advice ever but so many people out there are much better at the talking game than they are at actually delivering results. In these times, the numbers you post will provide more job security than any other single factor.
To achieve the best results, start with:
- Aim to be top ten percent - or aim for a minimum of a ten per cent improvement over where you are now.
- Go back to the basics - spend 80 percent of your time doing the things that get 80 percent of your results.
- Do not waste a minute today - improve your time management.
- Listen to your Sales Manager, implement and execute. You will need his or her support if times get rough.
