Week in Review - 9.16.2007

As you know, I am an avid believer in sales training and knowledge building as a continuous responsibility of any sales professional serious about their career in sales. Each week I will write a quick review and provide links to sales resources, articles, and information I found on the web during the previous week that I think are worth your time to review.

This week we start right at home with Starting at The Beginning written by Paul McCord. Paul talks about the First Sales Careers Online Sales Training Tele-seminar which will begin this Tuesday, September 18th and is sure to be an invaluable resource to Sales Careers Online users and visitors alike.

Another great resource I ran across this week was Sales Shebang, a community for women in the sales industry. The first ever conference will be held on November 5th and 6th in Minneapolis and is sure to be an exciting event.

Colleen Francis discusses in her article Prospecting is the Key to Sales Success that a majority of sales professionals are not spending enough time prospecting and reminds us “There is no sales problem that good prospecting skills can’t solve.”

Peter Thomson wrote An Unspoken Secret of Great Communicators and discusses how great communication skill starts with strong listening skills.
